Kincaidston Explosion - Update 11.30am Thursday 21 October

Our Building Standards team are carrying out individual inspections of all homes in the affected area to assess them for safety and, as at 11.30 am today, a total of 303 properties in Kincaidston have been inspected and have been deemed suitable for people to return. 21 October 2021.

Kincaidston Explosion - Update 3pm Wednesday 20 October

To date (as at 3 pm on Wednesday 20 October) we have been able to identify around 46 properties which householders can safely return to. This process started yesterday afternoon and is ongoing today. 20 October 2021.

Council committed to working with communities and partners to support those affected by Kincaidston explosion

Following the devastating explosion in Kincaidston, Ayr on Monday evening, South Ayrshire Council continue to work closely with the emergency services and other partners to ensure people can return safely to their homes as soon as possible.

Update on Kincaidston Incident Tuesday 19 October
