MacMillan cancer support

We are here to help with financial advice if you have cancer.

A cancer diagnosis can be a difficult and stressful time for the patient, family and friends.

The impacts of cancer can be financial and we are here to help, working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and can support you with the following:

  • Benefit advice
  • Help to claim benefits
  • Help to appeal DWP benefit decisions including written tribunal representation
  • Applying for MacMillan grants on your behalf
  • Money advice
  • Debt advice
  • Referrals to partner agencies for a wide range of services

A MacMillan grant application is a one-off payment to help cover the additional costs that cancer can cause including living expenses, gas & electricity, household items and travel costs. You can't apply for this yourself but one of our advisors can do it for you.

If you or anyone you know is affected by cancer and could benefit from this help you can contact us direct or speak to your MacMillan nurse who can refer you to us.

Visit the MacMillan Cancer Support website to find out more about their services.
