Non-Domestic Rates

Help with non-domestic rates in Scotland during coronavirus (COVID-19)

To help owners of non-domestic properties, including businesses, deal with the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Scottish Government has made changes to non-domestic rates (business rates) for 2020-21 and 2021/22.

Retail, hospitality and leisure businesses

Retail, hospitality and leisure businesses may be entitled to 100% rates relief - this relief must be applied for as it will not be awarded automatically for 2021/22.

For further details about the relief and how to apply please view the retail hospitality and leisure relief webpage.

Deferring payment of non-domestic rates

If you're struggling to pay your non-domestic rates bill, you should contact the council and ask them about your payment options.

For more information about Non-Domestic Rates, including how to pay and the reliefs available, please see https://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/businessrates/
